The official launch of the HortiQD project took place this week. This project brings together 12 partners from across the EU and is coordinated by the Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nano Systems in Chemnitz. The aim of the project is to develop an affordable and easy-to-use machine vision system for precision farming. Our focus concerns a NIR/SWIR image sensor based on lead- and mercury-free QDs. You can read more about this project on the European Commission website.
Before the official kick-off, our team had the opportunity to meet our partners from CEA-Leti and ST Microelectronics and to visit the CEA-Leti clean room.
We're honoured to be a part of such an insightful collaboration and ready to work on this cutting-edge technology.
